FAQ
Does VitalDay require a specific wearable?
No. VitalDay reads from Apple Health, so anything that writes data there will work: Apple Watch, Garmin, Oura, third-party apps.
Does VitalDay work with Garmin?
Yes, as long as your Garmin data is syncing into Apple Health (most people use the Garmin Connect app for this). VitalDay does not connect directly to Garmin in v1.
Why is some data missing?
VitalDay can only read what's actually in Apple Health. If a metric isn't being recorded by your watch or your permissions don't include it, it will show as missing.
My Apple Health data is not showing in VitalDay. What should I do?
Start by pulling down on the Morning screen to force a refresh. If the data still does not appear, open the Apple Health app, tap your profile photo, go to Apps and Services, find VitalDay, and check that the permissions you want are switched on. It is also worth checking that your wearable app has synced recently — Garmin Connect, for example, sometimes needs a moment to push data across. VitalDay can only show what Apple Health already has. If things still look wrong after syncing and refreshing, write to support\u0040vitalday\u002eapp and a real person will help you sort it out.
Why might VitalDay differ from Garmin or Apple Health?
Each app interprets the same raw data a bit differently. VitalDay focuses on a clear next step, not on matching another app's score.
How do I change Apple Health permissions?
Open the Apple Health app → your profile → Apps and Services → VitalDay. You can also manage this from iOS Settings → Health.
How do I delete local data?
From inside the app, in Settings, you can clear VitalDay's local data. Deleting the app from your iPhone also removes everything VitalDay stored locally.
Are notifications local?
Yes. VitalDay uses local notifications only in v1. There's no server sending you anything.
Is VitalDay medical advice?
No. VitalDay is a wellness and planning tool, not medical advice. For health concerns, talk to a qualified professional.
VitalDay's local-first design has been independently verified as consistent with Apple HealthKit's architecture. Every piece of health data the app reads stays on your device. There is no backend server, no account, and no way for VitalDay to access your data remotely. Your health information is yours.
